Victoria, March 9 : The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host a state memorial service for legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne on March 30, Dan Andrews, Premier of Victoria, said on Wednesday. Taking to Twitter, Andrews said: “There’s nowhere in the world more appropriate to farewell Warnie… Victorians will be able to pay tribute to Shane and his contribution to our state and his sport at a memorial service at the MCG.” Warne died of suspected heart attack at age 52 on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand on Friday. Warne’s remains are expected to be flown home to his family from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport on Thursday, ABC News reported. BAV MR
