Bareilly, August 8: Maulana Shahabuddin, the President of the All India Muslim Jamaat, has expressed strong objections to comments made by the Rampur Superintendent of Police. He stated that no administrative officer should use derogatory language towards any community. Such language is unbecoming of an official and can disrupt social harmony.
Maulana Shahabuddin emphasized that officials must refrain from using controversial terms when addressing any community. This behavior is against the dignity expected from someone in a responsible position, and such language is unacceptable in public life.
Regarding the issue of cow slaughter, he firmly condemned it. He stated that neither Muslims nor non-Muslims should engage in the killing of cows. The Prophet Muhammad has highlighted the significance of cows, and their milk is considered beneficial. People are encouraged to care for cows and contribute to societal welfare. Cow’s milk is deemed useful for children, the elderly, and the sick. The words used by the Superintendent of Police are highly objectionable, and a complaint will be lodged with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Officials must maintain decorum in their language and use respectful terms when communicating with the public.
Additionally, he advocated for the promotion of the Indian handloom industry and locally made products. He noted that India’s handloom sector is deeply connected to the nation’s rich traditions and the livelihoods of millions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative, ‘Make in India,’ aims to encourage products made in the country, which should be supported.
Maulana urged people to prioritize products made in India and from Indian companies. He called on citizens to strengthen local industries by purchasing domestically produced goods. Furthermore, he appealed for a boycott of products from American and Israeli companies, encouraging the adoption of goods made by Indian firms.
He urged citizens to promote Indian industries, support the ‘Make in India’ campaign, and contribute to strengthening the economy by prioritizing the use of domestically produced products.
