Saharanpur, February 21: Maulana Kari Ishaq Gora, a prominent Deobandi scholar and patron of the Jamiat Dawat-ul-Muslimeen, has expressed his objections to the recent ‘homecoming’ remarks made by Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He stated that a select few individuals aim to politicize religion and provoke the public. Gora emphasized that Bhagwat, being an intellectual, should refrain from making such statements.

In a conversation with a news agency, Gora remarked, “RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat is a wise and respectable person. His words hold significant weight across the country. Recently, he made a statement regarding ‘homecoming.’ I believe he misspoke. It does not seem like a deliberate statement. There could be other intentions behind his words.”

He further noted, “Following Bhagwat’s statement, a video featuring Arshad Madani also surfaced. The truth is that Madani’s video is quite old.”

Gora criticized those who seek to use religion for political gain, stating that they aim to instill fear and divide the public. He condemned such actions, asserting that they weaken the nation. “We are unhappy with such statements, as they should not be made,” he added.

Amid the controversy surrounding ‘The Kerala Story-2,’ Gora remarked, “Bollywood has already lost its credibility. Producers, actors, and everyone involved have adopted a new agenda. This agenda includes creating films that target specific communities, instill fear among people, and portray one religion’s followers as inciting conflict with another.”

He dismissed narratives like ‘love jihad’ as entirely fabricated, asserting that they are merely attempts to push an agenda. However, he noted that the public is now aware of these tactics and cannot be misled.
