Navi Mumbai, August 30: A severe fire erupted at a company in the Rabale MIDC area of Navi Mumbai on Sunday morning, causing widespread panic. The incident occurred at a facility located at plot number 823. Flames quickly engulfed the area, sending thick smoke billowing into the sky.
Upon receiving reports of the fire, the Navi Mumbai Fire Department promptly dispatched a team to the scene. Given the seriousness of the situation, approximately 7 to 8 fire engines were sent to control the blaze. Firefighters are currently working diligently to bring the fire under control.
Preliminary information indicates that the company specializes in sponge manufacturing. The presence of flammable materials raises concerns about the rapid spread of the fire. However, the exact cause of the blaze remains unknown at this time. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties. The fire department is not only focused on extinguishing the flames but is also investigating the cause of the fire.
Recently, a tragic incident occurred at the District Women’s Hospital in Amravati, where a fire broke out in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). This fire resulted in the deaths of three newborns. Reports indicated that an explosion on the third floor of the hospital triggered the fire, which originated in the NICU.
At the time of the incident, 39 newborns were being cared for in the NICU. As smoke and flames spread, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff on duty quickly began evacuating the infants from the affected ward. Most of the children were safely moved to a secure location away from the fire and smoke. Unfortunately, three newborns suffered severe burns and later succumbed to their injuries.
