New Delhi : The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki (MSI) has launched its first mid-size SUV new model Grand Vitara in the domestic market. The company’s new Grand Vitara has an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 10.45 lakh in the capital city of Delhi. This is a hybrid car will give a mileage of 27.97 km in one liter of petrol.
The company has launched this model in the Indian market to strengthen its presence in the fast growing mid-size SUV segment, the company said in a statement issued on Monday. According to MSI, the ex-showroom price of the new Grand Vitara in Delhi is between Rs.10.45 Lakh to Rs.19.65 Lakh.
This model is equipped with strong and mild hybrid technology. It will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier.
According to Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MSI, the Grand Vitara opens up a clean, green and carbon-free direction. This model is offered at a very competitive price with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs.10.45 lakhs. Takeuchi said that the pre-booking for this was already started on July 11 with a token amount of Rs 11,000. He said that so far more than 57 thousand units of this model have been booked. The company will sell this model through around 420 Nexa dealerships across the country.
