Tauranga, March 8 : Just second match into her comeback after childbirth, Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof scored a half-century against Australia in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup match at the Bay Oval here on Tuesday. Maroof cut through backward point for a boundary off Amanda-Jade Wellington to bring up her 15th ODI fifty off 96 balls. As soon as she got to the mark, Maroof did an unusual celebration, demonstrating baby in arms gesture and dedicated the knock to her six-month-old daughter Fatima. The tournament marks Maroof’s return to the international cricket after becoming a mother. She remained unbeaten on 78 as Pakistan posted a below-par 190/6 on board against Australia.
