Mumbai, July 29: Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has opened up about a significant experience in her life. She revealed that there was a time when, despite strict dieting, regular exercise, and hard work, her body showed no signs of change. This led her to feel so disheartened that she broke down in tears.
Manisha shared a video on her Instagram, showcasing various exercises. She also posted several pictures highlighting the nutritious meals she consumed during her fitness journey.
In her caption, she wrote, “Many might think I frequently share posts about exercise, but for me, these posts are not just about the gym or workouts; they tell the story of reclaiming my life and health.”
The actress explained, “Life has its ups and downs, and I became so busy dealing with those circumstances that I gradually neglected my health. This didn’t happen overnight. Slowly, my routine deteriorated. I started sleeping less, stress increased, and I let go of my daily good habits. Then one day, I realized my body was not the same.”
She continued, “After that, I promised myself that before starting my next film, I would prioritize my health. I thought that if I worked hard, everything would be fine, but my body was signaling something different.”
Manisha stated, “I ate well, exercised regularly, counted every calorie, ensured I got enough protein, and followed every fitness advice. Yet, when I weighed myself daily, I saw no change.”
She added, “One day, I thought maybe the weighing scale was broken, so I bought a new one. But the new scale showed the same results. Looking back, it makes me laugh, but at that time, I was extremely upset. I was so frustrated that I cried, repeatedly wondering why my body wasn’t responding to my efforts.”
Manisha later met with some good doctors and specialists who explained that changes in the body are entirely natural with age. They reassured her that the body from years ago cannot remain the same forever. Instead of punishing her body or putting excessive pressure on it, she needed to understand it and respond to its needs.
She said, “After that, I changed both my mindset and approach. Instead of just working harder, I began to understand my body’s needs, and that shift proved to be a significant turning point for me.”
Manisha shared, “After consistently working out correctly for four months, I am now starting to see positive results. Although I haven’t reached my set goals yet, I feel much stronger, healthier, and more hopeful than before.”
In conclusion, she stated, “If my posts these days feature constant exercise, nutritious meals, healthy dishes, and training sessions with a trainer, it’s not for show; it’s part of my journey to heal both physically and mentally.”
