Jammu, 2 January: Manish Sahni, president of Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit, has asserted that Indians will not tolerate Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman playing for Shah Rukh Khan’s KKR team in the IPL to be held in India. He warned that protests would be held across the country if this happens.

In an interview, Sahni said that violence against Hindus in Bangladesh is continuously increasing. In the past 15 days, four Hindus were brutally murdered and even burned alive. He stated that Shiv Sena will not tolerate this. He demanded a complete boycott of Bangladeshi players in the IPL and the upcoming T20 World Cup. He urged the BCCI and the central government to intervene immediately, saying that Indians will not accept Bangladeshi players participating.

Sahni further claimed that Bangladesh is following in Pakistan’s footsteps. Just as Indian players prefer not to play with Pakistani players, the same should apply to Bangladeshi players. He warned that protests will take place if Bangladeshi players participate in the IPL. He also said that Shah Rukh Khan should understand this and refrain from giving opportunities to Bangladeshi cricketers.

He added that terrorist camps have opened in Bangladesh and the country is moving on the path of Pakistan, which is a warning bell for India. He called on the Indian government to pay attention to this issue.

Sahni mentioned that the Union Home Minister and the central government are taking strict action on the issue of infiltrators. Under this campaign, Shiv Sena has resolved to evict illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas residing in Jammu. As part of this effort, the “I am Indian, My India is Great” campaign was launched from Indira Chowk in Jammu. Identification cards will be requested from people, and stickers will be placed on stalls of street vendors. Those refusing to provide identification will be reported to the police station. The campaign against suspicious persons will continue.
