Manish Raisinhani Reflects on His Journey at Cannes Film Festival

Mumbai, May 13: The buzz around the Cannes Film Festival is palpable, yet few know that popular television actor Manish Raisinhani has already made his mark on the international stage.

Manish Raisinhani and actress Avika Gor attended the Cannes Film Festival primarily in 2016 and 2017. Reflecting on that period, Raisinhani shared that their goal was not to prove a point but to present their story to the world.

He stated, “At that time, we weren’t thinking about paving new paths for TV actors; we were simply celebrating our film’s official selection with great enthusiasm.”

He emphasized that global platforms are always open to those willing to explore new possibilities with confidence and passion. Raisinhani expressed pride in bringing Indian stories and culture to international audiences. He remarked, “As we walked the red carpet, two thoughts crossed my mind. On one hand, I felt proud to be among the early individuals from the TV industry to reach that level; on the other hand, I dreamed of becoming the best in the art of storytelling with every step.”

For him, this journey was not just about glamour but also a significant opportunity to prove himself creatively. He stressed that both he and Avika have always viewed themselves as storytellers. They never approached any project from a TV or film perspective. He explained, “In my films, I have acted, directed, written scripts, shot, and edited. When you handle every aspect of your film, you don’t fit into a predefined mold; instead, you carve out your own unique space.”
