
Silchar, April 5: Manipur Chief Minister Yumkham Khemchand Singh stated on Sunday that the NDA government, led by the BJP, has made significant advancements in infrastructure development and governance in Assam.
Addressing an election rally in Rongpur, Cachar district, the Chief Minister emphasized that over the past decade, the BJP-led NDA government has achieved remarkable progress in infrastructure, public welfare, economic upliftment, and governance in Assam.
Singh noted that with continuous efforts and decisive actions to address illegal immigration, Assam is poised to emerge as a strong and dynamic state, not only in the Northeast but across the entire country.
He urged the public to unite in support of this vision for development and stability. Singh encouraged voters to support the BJP and become partners in Assam’s journey toward a bright and prosperous future.
This rally was organized in support of the party’s candidate Rajdeep Goala from the Udarbond constituency in Cachar district.
Manipur BJP President O. Mayur Sharda Devi and other party leaders also addressed the gathering, reinforcing a sense of unity and commitment.
A significant population from Manipur resides in southern Assam, including the districts of Cachar, Sribumi (formerly Karimganj), and Hailakandi.
Voting for the 126 members of the Assam Assembly will take place on April 9, with results announced on May 4.
Later, on the social media platform X, Chief Minister Singh remarked that the discussions were meaningful and visionary, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting peace, understanding, and stability in Manipur.
