Shimla, May 5: The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRC) in Hamirpur has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 894 teaching positions under the School Education Department of the Himachal Pradesh government. Eligible candidates are invited to apply through an official notification.
The recruitment includes 95 positions for Political Science teachers, 108 for Sociology teachers, 86 for Economics teachers, 114 for Psychology teachers, 118 for Computer teachers, 118 for Fine Arts teachers, 78 for Public Administration teachers, and 177 for Physical Education teachers.
The online application process commenced on April 22 at 10:00 AM, with the final date for submission set for May 14. Candidates wishing to apply can complete their registration on the official website before the deadline. Additionally, an error correction window will be available for four days after the application deadline for those who make mistakes while filling out the forms. However, candidates must pay a correction fee of ₹100.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized institution or university, along with a B.Ed degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Furthermore, passing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is mandatory for most positions, along with other specified qualifications and skills.
The minimum age for candidates is set at 18 years, while the maximum age is 45 years, calculated as of January 1. Selection will be based on a screening test, written examination, merit list, and document verification, with selected candidates receiving a monthly salary of ₹30,000, along with additional benefits.
All candidates must pay an application fee of ₹800 online when submitting their forms. It is important to note that the application will only be accepted after the registration fee is paid.
To apply online, candidates should first visit the official HPRC website. After reaching the homepage, they should click on the active application link for the relevant position. Next, they need to register and log in. All required information must be filled in the form, and documents should be uploaded in the correct size. After paying the registration fee, candidates can submit the form and should print a copy of the application for future reference.
