Major IAS Transfers Announced in Bihar, Several District Collectors Reassigned

Patna, 8 December. The Bihar government has issued a notification on Monday announcing the transfer of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including multiple district collectors.

According to the General Administration Department’s notification, Srikanth Shastri, the District Collector of Aurangabad, has been appointed as the District Collector of Begusarai until further orders. Taranjot Singh, previously the District Collector of Madhepura, will now serve as the District Collector of West Champaran (Bettiah).

Similarly, Vivek Ranjan Maitreya, District Collector of Sheohar, has been transferred to Siwan, while Abhilasha Sharma, District Collector of Arwal, will take charge as the District Collector of Aurangabad. Ashutosh Dwivedi, Joint Secretary of the Building Construction Department, has been made the District Collector of Katihar.

Pratibha Rani, Project Director of Bihar AIDS Control Society, has been assigned as the District Collector of Sheohar. Vaibhav Srivastava, Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, is now the District Collector of Saran (Chhapra). Vinod Duhan, Director of the Mines and Geology Department, has been appointed as the District Collector of Araria, and Abhishek Ranjan, Director of the Animal and Fishery Resources Department, will be the District Collector of Madhepura.

Shekhar Anand, Director of the Industry Department’s Technical Development, has been made the District Collector of Sheikhpura. Amrita Bains, Special Officer of the Energy Department, will serve as the District Collector of Arwal. Sahila, Director of the Primary Education Department, has been assigned to Buxar, while Nitin Kumar Singh, Director of the Agriculture Department, will be the District Collector of Kaimur.

Additionally, Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department, has been appointed Secretary of the Food and Consumer Protection Department. He will continue to hold the additional charge of Secretary of the Information Technology Department and Managing Director of BELTRON.

Sandeep Kumar R Pudkalakatti, Secretary of the Road Construction Department, has been made Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department and will retain additional charge as Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited.

Divesh Sehra, Secretary of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department, has been transferred as Secretary of the Rural Works Department. He will also continue as the Investigation Commissioner of the General Administration Department, Secretary and Mining Commissioner of the Mines and Geology Department, and Managing Director of Bihar State Mineral Development Corporation and Bihar State Mining Corporation Limited.

Sarvannan M, Secretary of the Rural Works Department, has been directed to contribute to the General Administration Department. Senthil Kumar, Secretary of the Planning and Development Department, will serve as Principal Secretary of the SC-ST Welfare Department, CEO of the Mahadalit Vikas Mission, and Managing Director of Bihar State Scheduled Caste Cooperative Development Corporation.

Furthermore, Pankaj Kumar Pal, Secretary of PHED, has been given additional responsibility as Secretary of the Road Construction Department.
