Major Drug Bust in New Delhi: Police Arrest Two and Seize Cocaine Worth ₹5 Crore

New Delhi, April 26: The Crime Branch’s Inter-State Cell (ISC) has successfully dismantled an inter-state drug syndicate in a significant operation. Police seized approximately 500 grams of high-quality cocaine, valued at around ₹5 crore in the international market. This narcotic was intended for distribution in New Delhi and the NCR region.

The operation was led by Inspector Satender Khari, with a team including Sub-Inspectors Sandeep, Vineet, Amit, Arjun, ASI Randhir, Head Constable Sanoj, and Constable Vikas. The entire operation was monitored by ACP R.S. Lamba.

On April 10, 2026, police received credible information regarding an individual set to supply drugs near the Ghaziabad roundabout in Delhi. Acting on this tip-off, police laid a trap and apprehended 29-year-old Javed Hussain from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. He was found in possession of 456 grams of high-quality cocaine.

An FIR was registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at the Crime Branch station, and further investigations commenced. During interrogation, Javed revealed that he had obtained the drugs from 25-year-old Soib Khan, also from Bareilly.

Following this lead, police took Javed into custody for further questioning and conducted a raid in Bareilly on April 22 with local police assistance. During this operation, supplier Soib Khan was arrested at his residence, where police also discovered several crucial leads.

Javed Hussain worked at a jeans factory in Delhi, and both accused have no prior criminal records. They are reportedly uneducated and have been caught in this serious case for the first time.

Currently, Soib Khan is under police remand, and continuous questioning is underway. Authorities believe that more individuals may be involved in this network, prompting ongoing raids to uncover further connections.
