According to police officials, this initiative is being conducted under the supervision of SSP Mukund Tibrewal.

In the first incident, during routine checkpoint inspections at the Talwara police post, officers noticed a Yamaha motorcycle approaching from the direction of Salal towards Talwara. Upon seeing the checkpoint, the two riders attempted to turn back, raising police suspicion. The motorcycle was subsequently stopped, and the riders were identified as Dalip Singh and Varun Kumar.

In another operation, a team from the Reasi police station set up a checkpoint near Sulla Naka during their patrol. They observed a pedestrian acting suspiciously while approaching from Simbal Chowa towards Reasi. Sensing something amiss, the police detained the individual for questioning, who identified himself as Ranjit Singh, son of Gandharv Singh.

A personal search revealed a small transparent poly bag containing approximately 2.3 grams of heroin in his right trouser pocket. An FIR numbered 72/2026 has been registered at the Reasi police station under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, and an investigation has commenced.

This operation was led by Inspector Khyatiman Khajuria, the SHO of Reasi police station, under the oversight of DSP Headquarters Reasi Vishal Singh Jamwal and ASP Reasi Iftikhar Ahmed.
