
Chennai, May 29: The Tamil Nadu government has announced a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and making new appointments. This reshuffle includes district collectors, departmental secretaries, commissioners, and heads of government enterprises who have been assigned new responsibilities.
According to the orders issued by the government, E. Sundaravalli, who served as the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, has been transferred and appointed as the Special Secretary in the Department of Public and Rehabilitation. R. Lalitha, the Managing Director of the New Tiruppur Area Development Corporation Limited, has been appointed as the Expenditure Secretary in the Finance Department.
A.K. Kamal Kishore, the District Collector of Tenkasi, and M.S. Prashanth, the District Collector of Kallakurichi, have been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Finance Department. R. Alagumina, the District Collector of Kanyakumari, has been designated as the Under Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Pooja Kulkarni, the Chief Executive Officer of the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Development Board, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise. V. Amuthavalli will serve as the Commissioner of Rural Development, while P. Ponaiah has been appointed as the Commissioner of Collegiate Education.
Dr. T.G. Vinay has been designated as the Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, and R. Kannan has been appointed as the Sugar Commissioner. He will also continue to hold additional responsibilities as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Watershed Development Agency.
At the district level, B. Priyanka, the District Collector of Thanjavur, has been appointed as the Director of Town Panchayats. P. Akash, the District Collector of Nagapattinam, has been appointed as the new District Collector of Madurai, while K.J. Praveen Kumar will take over as the District Collector of Nagapattinam.
Dr. R. Vaithinathan has been appointed as the District Collector of Theni. V. Saravanan has been designated as the District Collector of Dharmapuri from Tiruchirappalli, while Prateek Tyal has been appointed as the new District Collector of Tiruchirappalli.
After returning from leave, Vandana Garg has been appointed as the District Collector of Tiruvannamalai. J.E. Padmaja has been designated as the District Collector of Kallakurichi, and N. Priya will serve as the District Collector of Ranipet.
L. Madhubalan has been appointed as the District Collector of Namakkal, Anand Mohan for Tirunelveli, P.S. Leela Alex for Vellore, R. Revathi for Thanjavur, and Dr. M. Veerappan for Chengalpattu.
K. Tharpgaraj has been appointed as the Additional Registrar of Cooperatives, while R. Satish has been entrusted with the responsibilities of the Director of Rehabilitation and Welfare for Migrant Tamils.
In other significant appointments, Mangat Ram Sharma has been assigned to the Tamil Nadu Power Fin and Infrastructure Development Corporation (Powerfin) as Chairman and Managing Director. J. Jayakanthan has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Poompuhar Shipping Corporation Limited, while E. Sarvanavelraj has been designated as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited.
P.N. Sridhar has been sent for appointment as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation. S.P. Karthika has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA).
Additionally, R.V. Shajivna has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation. Simranjeet Singh Kahlon, the District Collector of Ramanathapuram, has been appointed as the Member Secretary of the Chennai River Restoration Trust.
B. Ganesan has been appointed as the Managing Director of the New Tiruppur Area Development Corporation Limited. Ranjit Singh will serve as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Limited, and V.R. Subbulakshmi has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project.
