Major Administrative Reshuffle in Chhattisgarh: 42 Officials Transferred

Raipur, May 7: The Chhattisgarh government has executed a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring senior IAS officials, principal secretaries, and district collectors across the state.

This move aims to strengthen governance under Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and enhance administrative efficiency. According to the official order, Richa Sharma has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary for the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, while Manoj Kumar Pingu has taken on the role of Additional Chief Secretary for the Forest and Climate Change Department. Additionally, the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary, Subodh Kumar Singh, has been assigned additional responsibilities in the Energy Department.

Niharika Barik has been transferred to the Home and Jail Department, and Shahla Nigar has been appointed as the Principal Secretary for the Women and Child Development Department.

Rohit Yadav has assumed the position of Finance Secretary, while Kamalpreet Singh has been deployed in the School Education Department.

Pardeshi Siddharth Komal has been appointed as the Agricultural Production Commissioner in the Agriculture Department. Rina Babasaheb Kangale will now lead the Commercial Tax (Excise) Department, and Avinash Champawat has been given additional responsibilities in Higher Education.

Mukesh Kumar Bansal has been assigned responsibilities in the Public Works Department along with finance-related duties, and R. Sangeeta has been posted in the Urban Administration and Development Department.

Ankit Anand will continue to serve as the Secretary of the Housing and Environment Department, even after being relieved of responsibilities in the Commercial Tax (Registration) Department.

Bhuvanesh Yadav has been transferred to the Planning, Economics, and Statistics Department, while S. Bharatdasan will now lead the Tourism, Culture, and Religious Affairs Department.

Shammi Abidi has been appointed as the Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, and Basavaraj S. has been posted in the Skill Development, Technical Education, and Employment Department.

Mohammad Kaiser Abdulhak will remain the Secretary of Public Health Engineering, with additional responsibilities as the Mission Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Rajesh Singh Rana has been appointed as the Secretary of the Village Industries Department, while Mahadev Kawre has been made the Cooperative Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperatives.

Shyam Lal Dhawade has taken charge as the Commissioner of the Raipur Division, and Saransh Mittar has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of CREDA.

Padum Singh Alma has been posted as the Excise Commissioner, while Sanjeev Kumar Jha will also take on additional responsibilities as the Managing Director of the National Health Mission.

Ranbir Sharma has been transferred to the Social Welfare Department, and Pushpa Sahu has been appointed as the Collector of Korea District.

Rajendra Kumar Katara has been appointed as the Special Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department, while Santosh Kumar Devangan has been made the Collector of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi.

S. Jayavardhan has been appointed as the Director of the Treasury and Accounts Department, and Prabhat Malik will serve as the Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister.

D. Rahul Venkata has been made the Commissioner of the Primitive Tribe and Scheduled Caste Development Department, while Chandan Sanjay Tripathi has been appointed as the Collector of Balrampur-Ramanujganj.

Rokhtima Yadav has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Higher Education Department, and Leena Kamlesh Mandavi has been made the Managing Director of the Khadi and Village Industries Board.

Santan Devi Jangde has been appointed as the Collector of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, while Sanjay Kannauje has been appointed as the Director of the Culture Department.

Padmini Bhoi Sahu has taken charge as the Collector of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, and Sambit Mishra has been appointed as the Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation. Reena Jameel has been appointed as the Collector of Surajpur, while Vishwadeep has been transferred to Bijapur.

Rita Yadav has been appointed as the Secretary of the Secondary Education Board, while Rishabh Kumar Parashar has been given additional responsibilities as the Budget Director and Local Fund Audit Director.

Officials stated that this reshuffle involving 42 officials reflects the government’s efforts to streamline administrative responsibilities and improve the delivery of public services across various departments and districts.
