Mumbai, May 17: Actress Mahima Chaudhary still vividly recalls the accident she experienced in 1999. She frequently shares this incident with her fans. Recently, during an appearance on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ she described Ajay Devgn as her most caring co-star. According to Mahima, during the filming of ‘Dil Kya Kare,’ Ajay stood by her side during a severe accident.
Mahima recounted that while shooting in Bengaluru, her car collided with a truck. She sustained serious facial injuries, with shards of glass embedded in her skin. At that time, Ajay was also the film’s producer.
She praised Ajay not only as a talented actor but also as a genuinely good person. Mahima stated, “Ajay took me to the right plastic surgeon. He encouraged me. If it had been any other producer, they might have just said to go get treated, but Ajay insisted that I see a plastic surgeon.”
She further revealed her fear that if news of her injuries spread, it could jeopardize her career. Mahima pleaded with Ajay and the film’s director, Prakash Jha, to keep the accident under wraps. Both supported her and assisted with her treatment.
Mahima made her debut in Subhash Ghai’s film ‘Pardes’ and starred as the lead actress in ‘Dil Kya Kare,’ released in 1999. The film featured Ajay Devgn, Kajol, and Chandrachur Singh in pivotal roles, directed by Prakash Jha and produced by Veeru Devgn and Veena Devgn.
