Mahi Vij Opens Up About Single Motherhood and Divorce on Bigg Boss 20

Mumbai, October 22 (Daily Kiran) : Mahi Vij, a prominent actress, displayed a deeply emotional side during her appearance on the reality show “Bigg Boss 20.” She spoke candidly about her experiences as a single mother and her commitment to providing a secure future for her daughter, Tara.

During the show, Mahi expressed that her life revolves around her daughter. She revealed that her ex-husband, Jay Bhanushali, often encourages her to step out and enjoy life, noting, “You should go out; you never leave the house. Your entire life revolves around Tara.”

In a poignant moment, Mahi recounted how, during her divorce proceedings, the judge suggested she accept alimony four times, but she declined. She believes that the money represents Jay’s hard work and dedication. “I didn’t take a single rupee in alimony. I don’t ask anyone for money, not even Jay. I feel that it’s his hard-earned money,” she stated, emphasizing her respect for his efforts.

Mahi explained that despite the judge’s repeated recommendations, she stood firm in her decision not to accept financial support. “I was in court, and the judge urged me four times to take alimony, but I refused because I know how hard Jay has worked for that money,” she added.

The conversation took a turn when tensions arose between Mahi and fellow contestant Arishfa. Mahi had sided with Kazi during a dispute, which led to Arishfa’s anger and a confrontation involving water being spilled on Mahi’s bed. Mahi expressed her desire to resolve differences peacefully, viewing Arishfa as a younger sister. However, she also felt that Arishfa often disrespects her. Overwhelmed with emotion, Mahi broke down, prompting fellow contestants Young, Asif, and Scout to comfort her.
