Maharastra logs 467 new Covid cases

Aurangabad,Mar 4 : Maharashtra recorded 467 fresh cases of Covid-19 were recorded across the state taking the total number of infections to 78,67,391, the health authorities said on Friday. The state also witnessed 12 deaths surging the death toll to 1,43,718. However, 1,144 patients recovered in the state raising the total number of recoveries to 77,14,719. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.06 per cent. At present, there are 4,953 active cases across Maharashtra. The state also witnessed a surge in the Omicron cases as 234 new cases were logged increasing the total case load of the variant to 5,005. However, 4,629 patient’s were cured so far, the health authorities further stated. Meanwhile, the Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 43 fresh COVID-95 cases while no death was reported due to virus during the past 24 hours. As per the reports, Aurangabad district was recorded 19 cases followed by Beed district with eight cases, Parbhani and Latur logged five cases each, Nanded had 3 cases, Hingoli had 2 cases and Osmanabad had one case.
