Mumbai, May 2: Maharashtra’s Home Minister Yogesh Ramdas Kadam has stated that the ongoing changes in the Mahalaxmi Sarso Exhibition 2026 are proving beneficial, especially for women.
In an interview with a news agency, Kadam emphasized that this program has been running for several years. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of empowering women to become successful entrepreneurs. The government is committed to making this dream a reality through continuous efforts and public awareness.
Kadam mentioned that various initiatives are in place to create job opportunities for women. If women wish to start their own businesses, the government provides support to facilitate this. The exhibition aims to inspire women across the state to establish their own ventures.
He added that the government is consistently expanding programs to benefit more people. Each year, new initiatives are launched to accelerate women’s development. This year, a turnover of 4 billion is anticipated.
Regarding the recent case of rape and murder of a minor in Pune, Kadam stated, “The investigation is ongoing, and we are committed to ensuring the perpetrator receives the harshest punishment possible.”
On the upcoming West Bengal elections, Kadam remarked, “The citizens of West Bengal have decided they want a development-oriented government. No one but Prime Minister Narendra Modi can bring about progress. The public trusts the BJP government, and the TMC is aware of this. The people are resolute, and the results on May 4 will reflect that. Parties that ignore the public’s concerns will be removed, and that is what will happen in West Bengal.”
