Aurangabad, March 5 : Maharashtra recorded 467 fresh cases of Covid-19 were recorded across the state taking the total number of infections to 78,7,916 the health authorities said on Saturday. The state also witnessed 8 deaths surging the death toll to 1,43,727. However, 992 patients recovered in the state raising the total number of recoveries to 77,15,711. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.07 per cent and death ratio 1.82 percent. At present, there are 4,476 active cases across Maharashtra. The state also witnessed a surge in the Omicron cases as 2060new cases were logged increasing the total case load of the variant to 5,211 However, 4,629 patient’s were cured so far, the health authorities further stated. Meanwhile, the Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 27 fresh COVID-95 cases while no death was reported due to virus during the past 24 hours. As per the reports, Aurangabad district was recorded 14 cases followed by Beed and Latur districts four cases each, Nanded logged 3 cases and Osmanabad had 2 cases.
