Aurangabad/Mumbai, April 14 : Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Thursday paid rich tributes to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on the occasion of his 131st birth anniversary. Thackeray in his message stated that , Dr Ambedkar has given us the best constitution in the world and through this constitution we are moving towards a republic and a strong nation. While celebrating the nectar festival of freedom,We have to be grateful for Dr Ambedkar’s contribution. According to the ideals set by Dr Babasaheb, we have to consciously maintain our commitment to the state and the country. We have to be aware of Ambedkar’s motto of equality, brotherhood and national ty, he added. While Mr Pawar in his message stated that,Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar empowered the poor, deprived, weak and neglected brothers of the country to fight for their right to equality and self-respect. His message of ‘Learn and Organize’ has benefited many generations of Bahujans. Due to the constitution given by Babasaheb, the task of building India, a country of political, social, cultural, spiritual and geographical diversity, on the basis of ty, equality and brotherhood, and keeping the sovereignty of the country intact, became possible, he added.
