Rising Daytime Temperatures Bring Brief Respite from Cold in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, January 30 : Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a temporary relief from the intense cold as daytime temperatures have increased across various cities. The sun shone brightly on Wednesday, making many areas experience warmer-than-usual conditions. However, the cold wave is set to return from February 2, with night temperatures expected to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for the Gwalior and Ujjain divisions due to an approaching Western Disturbance.

Western Disturbance to Bring Rain & Temperature Drop from February 2

According to IMD forecasts, a Western Disturbance will impact several regions of Madhya Pradesh on February 2, leading to light rainfall in the following districts:

As a result, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to drop by 2-3ยฐC, making cold conditions more prominent once again.

Moreover, two additional Western Disturbances are set to become active on February 1 and February 3, further affecting the western and northern parts of the state, increasing the likelihood of rainfall and colder temperatures.

  • January 30 & 31: Mild relief from intense cold, slight temperature increase, partly cloudy conditions in some areas.
  • February 1: Western Disturbance to become active, impacting northern and western Madhya Pradesh.
  • February 2: Temperature drop of 2-3ยฐC, rain expected in multiple districts.
  • February 3: A second Western Disturbance will intensify, further influencing the stateโ€™s climate.

On Wednesday, several cities recorded higher-than-usual temperatures, with Mandla recording the highest at 32ยฐC. Other locations that crossed 31ยฐC include:
