Madhya Pradesh Launches Campaign to Provide 25 Government Services to Tribal Communities

Bhopal, May 18: Efforts to improve the lives of tribal communities in Madhya Pradesh are underway as the government initiates a campaign to deliver 25 government services. According to official information, a nationwide information, education, and communication campaign titled “Public Participation, First to the Farthest” is being conducted from May 18 to May 25 to promote various schemes run by the government for tribal communities and to raise awareness about them.

Dr. Vijay Shah, the Minister for Tribal Affairs, has instructed all field officers in the department to successfully organize camps and ensure benefits reach the targeted groups. Dr. Satendra Singh, Commissioner and Director of the Tribal Regional Development Scheme, stated that special camps will be organized during the campaign to provide benefits of the schemes to the tribal community beneficiaries.

He mentioned that under the Prime Minister’s Janman Scheme and the Dharati Aaba Village Excellence Campaign, beneficiary saturation camps will be held in selected villages across all districts of the state. These camps will not only inform eligible beneficiaries about various government schemes but also facilitate their access to these benefits.

It has been reported that the camps organized under this campaign will provide 25 services from 18 departments to rural tribal communities. Additionally, measures will be taken to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the government’s schemes. To ensure the success of the campaign, necessary guidelines have been issued to district collectors. Rita Singh has been appointed as the nodal officer at the state level for organizing the camps.

At the district level, the Assistant Commissioner of the respective district and the district coordinator of the Tribal Affairs Department have been designated as nodal officers. Under the Dharati Aaba Tribal Village Excellence Campaign, a total of 11,377 villages across 267 development blocks will benefit, while the PM Janman Scheme will cover 5,113 villages across 122 development blocks.
