Bhopal, April 26: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will confront the opposition during a crucial one-day session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on Monday regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill.
The session aims to consolidate public sentiment and formally endorse the state government’s ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.’ This historic legislative measure seeks to ensure 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and various state assemblies.
However, the bill has recently failed to pass due to opposition protests, resulting in a lack of consensus.
