
Mumbai, February 21: In a significant development regarding the threat case involving Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, the Mumbai Crime Branch has made crucial breakthroughs. They have issued a lookout circular against Harry Chandra, also known as Harry Boxer, a member of the Bishnoi gang.
The Crime Branch has completed its investigation of a voice note received by Singh’s manager. It has been confirmed that the voice belongs to Harry Boxer. Following this confirmation, an FIR has been filed against the accused, leading to the issuance of the lookout circular.
To verify the authenticity of the voice note, the Mumbai police sought assistance from the Punjab and Haryana police. The investigation confirmed that the voice indeed belongs to Harry Boxer, who is affiliated with the Bishnoi gang. Based on a complaint from Singh’s manager, Vijay Subramaniam, the Mumbai Cyber Police has registered an FIR against Boxer, and the case is currently being investigated by the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Crime Branch.
Authorities have also revealed that the manager was threatened via an international phone call. The call’s location was traced to near the U.S. Virgin Islands. The manager reported that a ransom demand was made during the international call, along with threats to his life. The police are actively working to pinpoint the exact location of the international number. In light of these events, security measures at the actor’s residence have been heightened, and he has been advised to exercise extra caution during shoots.
It is noteworthy that the voice note demanded a ransom of 20 crores and included threats to both Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The recording stated, “Ranveer Singh, you backed out after saying something, right? Either you come back to that matter, or we will show you what happens when you back out. This voice note is a warning for you. Rohit Shetty and you need to fall in line, or we will take actions you never imagined.”
