New Delhi, April 5 : The Lok Sabha witnessed repeated adjournments on Tuesday as opposition MPs protested noisily as petrol and diesel prices were hiked for the 13th time in 15 days. The protests started soon after the House met at 11 a.m. Members from the Congress, DMK, CPI-M, TMC, NC, IUML and some other parties showed placards asking the government to cut tax on petrol and diesel. The MPs also raised slogans against the government, demanding that it roll back in fuel prices. Amid the ruckus, the first adjournment till 12 noon came around halfway through the Question Hour. When the House met again, the scene was no different. Papers were laid on the table of the House and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar introduced The Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Amendment Bill, 2022 amid the ruckus. A few speakers also raised their Zero Hour mentions. However, as the din continued, Rajendra Agrawal in the Chair adjourned the House till 2 p.m. AO MR
