LIC soars on getting nod to invest in rights issue of its Nepal joint venture

Life Insurance Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 708.45, up by 15.95 points or 2.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 692.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 697.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 712.50 and Rs. 697.15 respectively. So far 196205 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 920.00 on 17-May-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 650.00 on 20-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 712.50 and Rs. 657.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 447714.96 crore.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has received approval to invest Rs 80.67 crore in the proposed rights issue of its joint venture LIC (Nepal). LIC owns 55 per cent stake in LIC (Nepal). The board of director in their meeting held on July 4, 2022 has approved the same.
