New Delhi, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : On September 28, the nation commemorated the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh, a revered revolutionary and martyr. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and several other government ministers, paid heartfelt tributes to Singh’s unparalleled bravery and ultimate sacrifice.
In a post on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi expressed, “I pay my deepest respects to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. His indomitable courage and valor infused new energy into the freedom movement. His spirit of sacrificing everything for the nation’s honor symbolizes the strength and resolve of India’s youth.”
Modi also shared a video message, highlighting Singh as an inspiration for every Indian, especially the youth. He noted Singh’s fearlessness, recalling that before facing the gallows, Singh had written to the British, asking for humane treatment. He stated, “This is proof of his unwavering courage. He was also deeply sensitive to the suffering of others and always ready to help. I respectfully pay homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.”
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, in his post, remarked, “On the birth anniversary of the immortal symbol of revolution, thought, and patriotism, Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, I bow in reverence. His name is forever etched in the history of India’s freedom struggle, representing youthful consciousness, ideological courage, and the fight against injustice. He dedicated his life to the cause of the nation’s freedom and the broader transformation of society.”
Birla further emphasized Singh’s supreme sacrifice at a young age, which remains a cherished tale in Indian history. “Today, we honor Bhagat Singh’s courage, thoughts, scholarship, and sacrifice,” he added.
Central Minister Nitin Gadkari also extended his respects, stating, “I humbly salute the brave son of Mother India, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, on his birth anniversary.”
BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his homage, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the great revolutionary Bhagat Singh, I pay my respects. His courage infused new energy into the freedom struggle at a young age. His bravery, patriotism, and supreme sacrifice will continue to inspire the nation.”
BJP MP Sanjay Seth remarked, “On the birth anniversary of the great revolutionary Bhagat Singh, I offer my heartfelt respects. His sacrifice for the nation’s freedom and identity will resonate through the ages.”
BJP leader Sambit Patra stated, “On the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter and eternal martyr, I pay my tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He will remain an inspiration of sacrifice and dedication for every patriot.”
Ramesh Bidhuri, another BJP leader, wrote, “I bow in reverence to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. His sacrifice for the freedom of Mother India will always be inscribed in golden letters in our history. My colors are dyed in the hues of Basanti.”
