
Lucknow, May 14: The passing of Prateek Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, has sent waves of grief through both family and political circles.
Gopal Rai from the Vishva Hindu Parishad expressed his sorrow, stating, “I was in Agra and not in Lucknow. I am coming directly from Agra. The greatest sadness is that a son of a respected family, a member of Mulayam Singh’s family, has passed away at such a young age. It is extremely tragic.”
BJP national spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan remarked, “This is a difficult time, a very sad time. We pray to God to provide strength to his family during this challenging period. The Bharatiya Janata Party stands with Aparna and the entire Mulayam Singh Yadav family with sensitivity and support.”
Social worker Mukesh Bahadur Singh added, “This is very sad. The funeral will depart from here at 11 AM. The cremation is expected to take place around 11:30 AM. It is a deeply sorrowful moment.”
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated, “This is a very sad time. Prateek Yadav has left us too soon. I pray to God to grant him a place at His feet and give the family the strength to bear this unbearable pain.”
Samajwadi Party leader Deepak Mishra said, “The way Prateek Yadav passed away at such a young age is something no one should experience. God should not grant such a death to anyone. Prateek was a very kind person. His affection for animals, especially stray dogs, reflects his deep humanity. The manner of his passing is heartbreaking, and no one should face such an end.”
It is noteworthy that Prateek Yadav’s cremation will take place on Thursday morning around 11 AM at Bhainsakund in Lucknow. Prior to this, his mortal remains have been placed at his residence on Vikramaditya Marg in Lucknow for last respects.
Prateek Yadav (38), the half-brother of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, passed away on Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness. His wife, Aparna Yadav, shared details about the funeral on X late Wednesday night.
