Leaders Celebrate National Technology Day with Tributes to Innovation

New Delhi, May 11: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, along with other leaders, extended their greetings on National Technology Day on Monday.

Yogi Adityanath took to the social media platform ‘X’ to express his congratulations and best wishes to all the brilliant scientists, technical experts, and engineers in the country. He highlighted that the unprecedented success of the historic nuclear test (Operation Shakti) in Pokhran in 1998 showcased India’s indomitable strategic skills and technological prowess to the world. He emphasized that the outstanding research and innovation of these individuals will continually strengthen the foundation of a ‘New India.’

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also shared his message, congratulating all scientists, engineers, and researchers contributing to the creation of a self-reliant and empowered India through innovation, research, and technological excellence. He noted that the successful nuclear test on May 11, 1998, introduced India’s scientific capabilities, technological strength, and self-reliance on the global stage. This achievement, under the visionary leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, symbolizes the confidence, strength, and technological advancement of a new India.

Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary remarked that National Technology Day is a testament to the capabilities of Indian scientists, who demonstrated India’s strategic power to the world through the 1998 nuclear tests in Pokhran. He stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the emerging New India is progressing towards self-reliance through technology and innovation.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conveyed his best wishes to all citizens on National Technology Day. He recalled that on this day in 1998, India successfully conducted a nuclear test in the valorous land of Pokhran, showcasing its scientific capabilities, self-reliance, and strategic strength. This historic achievement, under the visionary leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and renowned scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, stands as a symbol of national pride, security, and self-respect. He encouraged everyone to continue striving towards a self-reliant and developed India through science, innovation, and technological advancement.

Central Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also shared his wishes on X, congratulating all scientists and technical experts on National Technology Day. He reminded everyone that on May 11, 1998, under the leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, India achieved the successful Pokhran nuclear test, fulfilling the vision of a ‘capable India.’ Following in those footsteps, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and Start-up India are realizing the concept of ‘Self-Reliant India.’
