Mumbai, May 12: American actress Lauren Gottlieb has expressed her sorrow as the renowned international dance reality show “So You Think You Can Dance” officially concludes after 18 seasons. On Tuesday, she shared a heartfelt post reflecting on the show’s end.
Lauren rose to fame through Season 3 of “So You Think You Can Dance,” making it a significant part of her life. She shared an old video from the show on Instagram, describing its conclusion as “the end of an era.”
In her post, she wrote, “After 18 seasons, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ has come to an end. I joined the show in 2007 when I was just an 18-year-old girl from Arizona. I never imagined that this show would completely change my life. I returned several times for the All-Star seasons after being a part of my own season. Over the years, this show has felt like a second home to me.”
Expressing her gratitude, she noted that she never anticipated the profound impact the show would have on her career. “This show was watched worldwide, which led Remo D’Souza to notice me and cast me in his film ‘ABCD.’ Thus began my global journey through dance.”
Reflecting on the past, she shared, “After 19 years, moments arise that touch the heart. Just two days ago, a flight attendant stopped me to say that she loved me during my time on ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ Dance transcends language, borders, and every wall that tries to separate us. It reaches straight to the heart, and that is what this show has done for millions around the world.”
She extended her thanks to everyone involved with the show, writing, “To the cast, crew, choreographers, judges, our parents, and all the fans, thank you. Thank you for the memories and moments that have changed our lives forever.”
