
New Delhi, December 7 – Kuldeep Yadav emerged as the highest wicket-taker in the three-match ODI series against South Africa, claiming 9 wickets at an average of 20.78. For his outstanding performance, he was honoured with the ‘Impact Player of the Series’ award.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video on the social media platform X on Sunday, featuring India’s assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate. He said, “Friends, I have the honour to present the Impact Player of the Series award. It is often said that everyone contributed in such series, but in this series, you all contributed in all three matches. In a series where batting dominated most games, the Impact Player of the Series is Kuldeep Yadav.”
After receiving the award, Kuldeep Yadav remarked, “There is nothing special from my side. Congratulations to Virat Bhai and Jaisu (Yashasvi Jaiswal), they played a fantastic innings.”
Kuldeep took 4 wickets for 68 runs in the ODI match played at Ranchi. In the second match, he picked 1 wicket for 78 runs. He then played a crucial role in the final match by taking 4 wickets, helping India win the series 2-1.
