Imphal, March 18 : Kuki People’s Alliance (KPA) on Friday extended unconditional support to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Manipur. KPA President Tongmang Haokip along with two newly elected MLAs – Kimneo Haokip Hangshing and Chinlunthang – submitted a letter of support for the BJP to Governor La.Ganesan at the Raj Bhavan here during the day. Haokip said KPA could put up only two candidates in the recent Assembly polls due to limited time in the formation of his party. Both of them won. Earlier, Janata Dal ( ted), Naga People’s Front (NPF) and Independent MLA Sapam Nishikanta Singh also extended support to BJP.The BJP won 32 seats to gain an absolute majority for the first time in the 60-member House.
