KONARK CORPS, SOUTHERN ARMY ORGANISED BLOOD DONATION CAMPS IN ITS AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Jaipur : Konark Corps under the aegis of Southern Command organized blood donation camps at various locations in Rajasthan on 24 December 2022.

‘Donate Blood – Save Lives’, was the theme of these blood donation camps which are part of the various other events being conducted by Southern Army in the run up to the 75th Army Day on 15 Jan 23.

The blood donation campaign was undertaken by voluntary participation of Guardians of our border- Border Security Force, Bravehearts of Black Mace Brigade and highly enthusiastic civilians at different locations to include Jaisalmer Military Station, Longewala, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Alwar, Niwaru and Mount Abu where more than 975 units of blood was collected. Also, approximately 1000 brave hearts of the Black Mace Brigade voluntarily registered their details online to meet any future blood donation requirements.

The blood donors comprised a healthy mix of Army personnel & their dependents, NCC Cadets, Civil Defence Employees, Army Public School teachers and volunteers from all walks of life. These camps were organised in Thirty Three cities as well as remote areas of Eleven states in the Southern Command Area of Responsibility.
