Kolkata Celebrates Change as BJP Wins in West Bengal

Kolkata, May 6: The atmosphere in Kolkata is vibrant as the BJP celebrates its victory in West Bengal. Many residents have highlighted women’s safety as a primary concern. In conversations with the public, various reactions emerged.

A young woman stated, “Most people believe that changing the government is a good idea. All women want enhanced safety, which the TMC government failed to provide.”

Student Sanchita expressed, “The change in government is welcome. We hope the new administration will focus on the safety of women and girls.”

Abhishek Harlalka remarked, “Change is a natural law. The people of West Bengal have elected a new government this time. I hope they will fulfill their promises.”

Brijesh Singh added, “It was essential to change the government in West Bengal. I wish the new administration leads the backward Bengal towards development.”

Joyita commented, “I do not support any party, but Bengal needed change because so much has happened here. If the new government performs well, they will win again; otherwise, the public will show them the way, just like they did with the Mamata government.”

BJP leader Shrirupa Mitra Chowdhury noted, “People are so happy that they can breathe freely now. For the first time, we can breathe without fear.”

BJP leader Kiyaa Ghosh stated, “Mamata Banerjee knows that according to the Constitution, her farewell day is on the 7th. However, if she is unwilling to accept her defeat, I believe even small children behave better than that.”

Indranil Khan, the victorious BJP candidate from Behala West, said, “This is a moment of great joy for the people of West Bengal. Under the Mamata Banerjee government, the people were deprived of their basic rights, and incidents of violence against women occurred everywhere, whether in Sandeshkhali or Hasnabad.”
