Khushboo Patni Remembers Army Days, Reflects on Years in Kashmir

Mumbai, 12 January – Khushboo Patni, sister of Bollywood actress Disha Patni, may be far from the film industry, but she continues to serve the nation through her social media presence.

Having served in the Indian Army for over 11 years, Khushboo recently shared nostalgic reflections on her time in uniform, recounting her struggles and contrasting them with her current comfortable lifestyle.

On Instagram, Khushboo posted a series of stories. The first showed a photo of her Indian Army brooch and rank flaps she received at home. She wrote, “Today I received my last rank flaps. Tears well up in my eyes. The passion for patriotism is unique and unmatched.”

In another post, she shared an image of the area where she spent most of her service years in Kashmir, describing it as a place that made her stronger. “Welcome to my area… I spent many years here. Today I have an air-conditioned permanent home, but living in a wooden house made me stronger as a person compared to living in a permanent and luxurious house,” she said.

In a third photo, Khushboo held her Indian Army brooch, expressing that her first and last love has always been for the country, and no other love has replaced it so far.

Khushboo Patni served as a Lieutenant before retiring at the rank of Major. She spent significant time working in sensitive regions of Kashmir. Since retiring, she has emerged as a fitness coach on social media, focusing on self-defence training for girls and raising awareness about mental and physical health.

Recently, citing the Ankita Bhandari case from Uttarakhand, Khushboo spoke about women’s safety and encouraged girls to always carry sharp objects and pepper spray for self-protection.

Khushboo Patni’s journey from the army to fitness coaching highlights her continued commitment to empowering others, especially women, to stay strong and safe.
