Khunger demands action against those who attacked Pawar’s residence

Aurangabad, April 8 : Nationlist Congress Party (NCP) senior leader and state spokesperson Surjit Singh Khunger on Friday strongly condemned the act by some of the employees of MSRTC who hurled footwear and stones towards veteran leader Sharad Pawar’s residence ‘Silver Oak’ in Mumbai and demanded strong action against those who were involved in the incident. Talking to Mr Khunger said that, Maharashtra is one of the progressive state and such type incident is shameful and not healthy for the state and we strongly condemn this act. He said that Mr Pawar is one of the senior most leader whose towering personality is an asset for Maharashtra as he has spend his whole life for the welfare of the state and the country. Mr Khunger further demanded that those who were behind this incedent were aiming to provoke MSRTC workers, they should be identified, arrested and stern action should be taken against them. It may noted that the protesting employees reached ‘Silver Oak’, in the afternoon and shouted slogans against Mr Pawar. Some employees even hurled their footwear towards his house. They also alleged that Mr Pawar has not done anything to resolve the issue of merger the MSRTC with state government. Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court had issued an order on Thursday asking all employees to resume their duties from April 22 onwards. VKB RKM
