Lucknow, May 18: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a ‘Janata Darshan’ event at his official residence on Monday. He listened to grievances from citizens across the state and issued strict directives to officials for prompt and quality resolutions. Before departing for a tour in Banda, he addressed issues such as financial assistance for medical treatment, land surveying, illegal encroachments, electricity, roads, and drainage.
Maurya prioritized the concerns of patients suffering from serious illnesses and their families. He instructed officials to expedite the processing of files related to financial aid, ensuring that no poor individual is denied treatment due to lack of funds. Taking a firm stance on public grievances, he communicated directives to district and state-level officials both verbally and in writing.
He emphasized that it is not just about paperwork; actual relief must reach the complainants. On land disputes and surveying matters, he called for fair action, urging officials to verify situations on-site and deliver justice to victims. The electricity department was directed to address issues of overbilling, dilapidated wires, and poor infrastructure immediately, while the revenue department was tasked with ensuring timely resolution of land disputes.
Maurya issued a clear warning that officials neglecting public issues would be held accountable. He reiterated that timely and just resolution of public grievances is the government’s top priority. Officials must assess the reality of cases on the ground and ensure justice for the affected. After concluding the Janata Darshan program, Maurya left for pre-scheduled engagements in Banda district.
