Tiruvalla, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : The Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church in Tiruvalla has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian government. This acknowledgment comes in light of efforts made to secure the release of three church members held in a detention center in Saudi Arabia.
In a letter dated September 9, Theodosios Mar Thoma Metropolitan, the head of the church, thanked PM Modi and his office for their sincere and persistent efforts in ensuring the release of Dannyman, Liju Mathew, and Mathew Cheriyachen.
The Metropolitan remarked that the church appreciates the prompt intervention and compassionate attention from the Prime Minister’s Office. He also commended the Indian embassy in Saudi Arabia for their efforts and coordination, noting that the release has brought “great relief and joy” to the detainees, their families, and the wider community.
The letter acknowledged all those who contributed to the release and emphasized the vital role of Indian diplomatic efforts. Reports indicate that the release has significantly relieved the families and church community involved.
