Jammu, April 8 The scenic valleys of Jammu & Kashmir are about to witness the country’s fastest train — Vande Bharat Express — speeding across the region. The much-anticipated train service between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar is set to begin on April 19, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to inaugurate the route.
This semi-high-speed train is being launched under the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project (USBRL), which is a critical milestone in connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of India via a modern, efficient, and faster rail network.
A Luxury Journey in Just 3 Hours
