Mumbai, August 25: Actress Kashmira Shah has spoken out in support of Sunita Ahuja amid the ongoing tensions between Sunita and her husband, actor Govinda. In a recent media interaction, Kashmira, who is married to Govinda’s nephew Krishna, expressed her solidarity with her aunt-in-law, Sunita.
Kashmira emphasized her commitment to keeping her family intact, stating she would do everything possible to prevent any rifts. This statement came as she was approached by paparazzi outside television actor Abhishek Kumar’s birthday party.
Frustrated with the media’s probing questions, Kashmira responded, “If they have chosen to part ways, why can’t you leave them alone? Why are you asking these questions?”
She further clarified her stance, saying she stands firmly with Sunita. Kashmira noted that she typically avoids speaking publicly but felt compelled to address the situation. “I am with Sunita Mami. She has never spoken out before, but if she is saying something now, there must be a reason,” she added.
Kashmira also made it clear that she would support all the women in her family during this turbulent time. “I will stand by all the women in my family and will do everything to protect them,” she asserted.
Kashmira’s support for Sunita comes after both women reconciled their past differences just a few months ago. For years, there had been a rift between Kashmira and Sunita, which had distanced their families. Notably, Sunita did not attend the wedding of Kashmira’s sister-in-law, Aarti.
However, in April 2026, the longstanding feud was officially resolved on the set of the show ‘Laughter Chefs.’ Kashmira apologized to Sunita, who graciously forgave her, allowing the family to reunite.
