Bengaluru, May 19: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah praised the Congress-led government for fulfilling its promises to the people. He highlighted that the state has made significant progress through the successful implementation of five guarantee schemes.
In a video message released before a celebration event in Tumakuru marking the government’s three-year milestone, CM Siddaramaiah expressed gratitude to the district’s residents for hosting the occasion.
He noted that prior to taking office, the Congress party, under the leadership of Home Minister G. Parameshwara, prepared a manifesto focused on the welfare and development of the people, which included five guarantee schemes and various commitments.
Siddaramaiah stated that within the first year of taking office, the government effectively implemented all five guarantees. He further emphasized that the Congress government has disproved criticisms suggesting that these schemes would negatively impact the state’s economy.
According to Siddaramaiah, the successful implementation of these guarantees demonstrates the government’s commitment to honoring its promises and remaining accountable to the aspirations of the people. The event in Tumakuru aims to showcase the government’s achievements and its dedication to public service.
Highlighting initiatives from the revenue department, Siddaramaiah mentioned that services related to property, such as ‘Pothi Khata’ and ‘Barakast Podhi’, have been prioritized. During the event, approximately 140,000 beneficiaries will receive property documents and benefits related to revenue villages and pension schemes.
The Chief Minister also announced that around ₹662 crores worth of projects and schemes will be inaugurated and laid during the event. He invited people to join the celebration in large numbers, noting that Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, cabinet ministers, legislators, parliament members, and various leaders will be present.
This large-scale state-level conference in Tumakuru is expected to attract over 200,000 attendees. It is organized to commemorate the third anniversary of the Congress government’s administration in Karnataka. To facilitate the transportation of this massive crowd to the venue, approximately 4,000 buses have been arranged from various districts across the state.
The conference, officially titled ‘Sadhana Samavesha’, will focus on the state’s achievements, virtual inaugurations, and the distribution of land ownership documents (patta) to around 152,000 beneficiaries.
