Karnataka BJP Celebrates Success in Bengal and Assam Elections, Praises PM Modis Role in National Security

Bengaluru, May 4: As the BJP approaches victory in the West Bengal and Assam assembly elections, the Karnataka unit celebrated at their headquarters, Jagannath Bhavan, with breakfast and sweets on Monday.

The event was led by Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra, Opposition Leader in the Karnataka Assembly R. Ashok, and other prominent leaders, attracting hundreds of party workers to the office.

During the celebration, Ashok collaborated with Vijayendra to prepare ‘Jhalmuri,’ a popular spicy puffed rice snack from Bengal, which was distributed to leaders as part of the festivities. Notably, the ‘Jhalmuri break’ during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign in Jhargram, West Bengal, on April 26 garnered significant attention.

Speaking to the media, Ashok stated, “West Bengal has been a major entry point for terrorists and illegal immigrants. The Mamata Banerjee government facilitated the entry of two crore migrants from Bangladesh and provided them with government documents. Today, the chaos created by Mamata Banerjee has come to an end.”

He further emphasized, “The election results clearly show that Prime Minister Modi is the only leader capable of ensuring the country’s security. Although elections were held in five states, the focus remained on West Bengal due to allegations of power misuse, accusations against the judiciary and the governor, and incidents of violence. The BJP’s victory in West Bengal strengthens national security.”

Ashok added, “For nearly 15 years, the state government did not allow armed forces to erect barriers to prevent infiltration. This is a joyous moment for the country. The public has supported Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP’s national leadership. In the coming days, the country will move away from the Congress Party.”

B.Y. Vijayendra, Karnataka BJP President and MLA, remarked that the BJP’s victory in Assam represents a ‘democratic endorsement’ after a decade of governance, marking the party’s third consecutive term in the state.

He stated that this outcome reflects more than just electoral results; it demonstrates the public’s ongoing faith in the BJP’s development model and cultural identity. “When citizens vote consistently, they do so with confidence. Assam has done just that,” he noted.

Vijayendra described the mandate as direct support for Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a ‘Developed India’ and highlighted the success of the ‘Double Engine Government,’ where both the central and state governments work together. He asserted, “Infrastructure reaches the last mile, welfare facilities reach every family, and development leaves no district behind.”

He credited Union Home Minister Amit Shah for strategic leadership and electoral planning, acknowledging his significant role in expanding the BJP’s reach nationwide. He also congratulated BJP National President Nitin Naveen, stating that his leadership and organizational efforts have strengthened the party during this crucial electoral phase.

Vijayendra praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP Assam President Dilip Saikia for their leadership and grassroots engagement that led to their victory.

He emphasized the role of party workers, stating that this win belongs to those who worked tirelessly at the grassroots level, connecting with voters across the state and strengthening the party’s presence in every corner.
