Kangana Ranaut Criticizes Congress, Claims Its Turning Against the Nation

Mumbai, August 18: BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. This comes in response to allegations that Gandhi objected to the full rendition of “Vande Mataram” during a celebration at the Congress headquarters.

Kangana stated that “Vande Mataram” symbolizes India’s consciousness. She expressed concern over any opposition or attempts to suppress its performance. The actress accused Congress of not only opposing the BJP but also acting against the nation.

The controversy arose during a recent Independence Day event at the Congress headquarters, Indira Bhavan. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge hoisted the national flag, after which singers began performing “Vande Mataram.” Reports indicated that Congress had planned for only the first two verses to be sung, but the singers continued with the entire version.

It was during this performance that Sonia Gandhi allegedly intervened, signaling to Kharge and later speaking to the singers. Reports suggest she requested them to stop singing. In light of this, Kangana expressed her views.

In an interview, she remarked, “Vande Mataram” reflects India’s consciousness. As an artist, I understand how deeply art and poetry can impact people’s minds. The opposition and hatred directed towards “Vande Mataram” and attempts to halt its singing are deeply concerning.”

Kangana then shifted her focus to a political critique of Congress, stating, “Congress is no longer just anti-BJP; it is turning against the nation.”

She also discussed the BJP’s preparations and team, emphasizing the challenges facing the country. Kangana praised the BJP for strengthening its team to tackle these challenges.

Referring to Mumbai, she highlighted the Siddhivinayak Temple and other temples as protectors of the region. “Whenever I visit Mumbai, it is a privilege to seek blessings at these temples. BJP workers gifted me a statue of Ganapati, which was a very special moment for me. Such occasions make me feel blessed.”
