Bhopal, May 8: Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has launched a strong attack on the Madhya Pradesh government led by Mohan Yadav, accusing it of being anti-Dalit and anti-tribal. He referenced the latest NCRB report, highlighting alarming levels of atrocities against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the state.
According to the recently released NCRB report, Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country for atrocities against tribal communities and second for atrocities against Dalits in 2024. Nath emphasized that the report indicates that the tribal population in the state faces the highest levels of violence in the country. He criticized the BJP government for its complete failure to deliver justice to tribal communities.
Nath further stated that the state’s second-place ranking in atrocities against Dalits reflects the dire situation faced by these communities. Official statistics reveal that the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh is entirely anti-Dalit and anti-tribal. The state Congress unit is actively raising issues related to law and order, as well as atrocities against Dalits and tribals, with significant emphasis.
Meanwhile, the 2024 NCRB report has prompted Congress to intensify its efforts to hold the government accountable. On the other hand, the BJP claims to be enhancing facilities for Dalits, tribals, and various other communities, promising to bring positive changes to their lives.
