Chennai, May 4: Actress Kajal Aggarwal congratulated actor and politician Vijay on Wednesday, as his party, Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), surged ahead in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026.
According to the Election Commission’s data, Vijay’s TVK is leading in 105 out of the total 234 seats and has already secured victories in three constituencies.
As it became clear that Vijay would be the next Chief Minister of the state, Kajal took to X to extend her congratulations.
Having collaborated with Vijay in several Tamil films, she expressed, “Naan oru thadava sonna, nooru thadava sonna maari,” emphasizing that the people have echoed this sentiment with full confidence today.
She added, “Heartfelt congratulations to actor Vijay on this magnificent and impactful victory. This moment is a true testament to your vision, determination, and the unwavering love of the people.”
Kajal further stated, “The people of Tamil Nadu have clearly and proudly voiced their opinion. This is not just a victory; it is a celebration of a deep and powerful connection with millions. Wishing you immense strength and success as you step into this inspiring new chapter. I hope you bring the change that so many are hoping for. Congratulations once again on this unprecedented achievement.”
Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, daughter of actor Sarathkumar, also congratulated Vijay, writing, “Oru viral purchi.. Whistle podu..!!! Vijay vuhuhuhuuu….!!! The people have made their decision known. Tamil music director Santhosh Narayanan was among those from the Tamil film industry who congratulated Vijay. He posted on X, “History is being made in our state. Congratulations to actor Vijay sir! In my lifetime, I have only seen Dravidian parties splitting votes, and this is a highly welcome change. The results are not yet declared, but this is already a historic moment for us.”
