Guna, March 28: A long-awaited move has taken place in a remote village of Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, where an Anganwadi center previously operating in a dilapidated building has now been relocated to a new facility.
This decision came after the intervention of Jyotiraditya Scindia, the local MP and Union Minister. During a recent visit to the village, Scindia assessed the building’s condition and directed the Guna district administration to take immediate action.
Scindia expressed his astonishment at the potential danger posed to children’s lives due to the crumbling structure of the Anganwadi center in the Bavrikheda Gram Panchayat. He ordered the district administration to swiftly transfer the center to a safer location to ensure the protection of children and women who visit daily.
He emphasized that any negligence regarding the safety of children and women would not be tolerated and insisted on immediate arrangements to address the situation.
Following the minister’s directives, the Anganwadi center has been successfully moved to a secure new building. This information was confirmed by his public relations department in a statement released on Friday.
The statement highlighted that the center had been operating from a dilapidated building for several years. Upon learning of the situation, Minister Scindia took it seriously and instructed the district administration and relevant department officials to take necessary and prompt action.
In compliance with these directives, officials made the required arrangements, successfully relocating the Anganwadi center to a new building, thus providing beneficiaries with a safer and improved environment.
Scindia reiterated that public safety is paramount and such negligence would not be tolerated. He instructed officials to ensure accountability to prevent the recurrence of similar situations and to take strict action where necessary.
