Jyotika Shares Insights on Film Trends and Her Role in System

Mumbai, May 20: Actress Jyotika is making headlines with her upcoming streaming film ‘System.’ During promotional events, she openly discussed current film trends, expressing her views on the portrayal of multiple actresses alongside a single hero. She believes this practice often crosses a line and that films should maintain a certain balance.

In her words, “I find it quite odd when one actor is shown with four actresses. It leads audiences to question the necessity of such portrayals. Everything has its limits, and films should also draw a line. If stories maintain balance and characters are presented appropriately, cinema can positively impact society.”

Jyotika also shared intriguing details about her character in ‘System,’ where she plays a stenographer. She noted, “What appears on screen often differs from the actual shooting experience. In many scenes, the laptop screen was not visible on camera, so I had to focus more on acting than typing.”

She added, “Today, almost everyone uses mobile phones and computers, so I didn’t face much difficulty learning to type. However, to make my character realistic, I prepared in small ways. I had to ensure my typing speed was appropriate, my eye movements were natural, and my facial expressions were accurate, as I needed to look in different directions while conveying emotions.”

For Jyotika, the most crucial aspect was her character’s emotions. “More than technical details, it’s vital for an actor to feel their character deeply. That’s how audiences connect.”

The film ‘System’ is produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, and Smita Baliga, featuring Jyotika and Sonakshi Sinha in significant roles. It will be released on May 22 on the OTT platform Prime Video.
