
Ranchi, May 9: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has officially announced a recruitment drive for a total of 611 positions across various departments, including Laboratory Assistants.
The available positions include roles such as Assistant Entomologist, 2 positions for Vector-Borne Disease Control, 4 for Assistant Vector-Borne Disease Control Officers, 42 Inspectors for the Vector-Borne Disease Control Program, 228 Block Statistics Supervisors/Junior Statistics Assistants/Investigators, 72 Livestock Technical Officers, 78 Fishery Extension Supervisors, 145 Accountants, 6 Junior Scientific Assistants at the State Drug Testing Laboratory in Namkum, Ranchi, and 34 Laboratory Assistants in Physics and Chemistry.
The online application process will commence on June 1 and will close on June 30. Candidates wishing to apply can submit their registration forms on the official website once the application link is activated.
The deadline for payment of application fees and uploading photographs/signatures is set for July 3. Additionally, a correction window for candidates who make errors while filling out the application form will be available from July 5 to July 10.
Applicants must hold a relevant graduation or post-graduation degree from a recognized institution or university. Candidates must also possess the necessary qualifications and skills pertinent to the respective positions.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, while the maximum age is capped at 35 years, calculated as of August 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), preliminary examination, main examination (two stages), and document verification. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range from ₹29,200 to ₹1,42,400, depending on the position.
During the application process, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹100 for unreserved/EWS/OBC/other state candidates and ₹50 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates from Jharkhand. Additionally, candidates with disabilities (40% or more) from Jharkhand will be exempt from the registration fee.
To apply online, candidates should visit the official JSSC website. After reaching the homepage, they should click on the active application link for the relevant position. Following this, they need to register and log in. All required information must be filled in the application form, and necessary documents should be uploaded in the correct size. After paying the registration fee, candidates should submit the form and print a copy of the application for future reference.
